FastFrame and JD Metals tower over the 2024 Kingsport Home Show
On March 8-10, 2024, JD Metals literally towered over the 50th annual Kingsport Home Show with its 2- story FastFrame residential house frame inside the Meadowview Conference Center. To begin, preparation for the event started on the Tuesday before, when a crew erected the entire house frame in approximately 8 hours. That’s one of the benefits of pre-assembled, modular construction: it is FAST.
Residential Framing
The show home featured 2 bedrooms (one on the main level and a loft bedroom/flex space upstairs) and 2 full baths. The open living/kitchen/dining area’s two-story ceiling height made the most of the floor plan’s compact 833 square feet. The framing highlighted the straight lines of steel, as well as the ease of running electrical and plumbing through precut utility holes. One of our in-house CAD designers, Angel Hicks, created beautiful renderings of modern interiors to help home show visitors envision what the space could become, right down to the fireplace and artwork. Garages and Buildings
